Safety glass, toughened to British Standard 6206 Class A, is firmly seated in its cedar frame and captured by discreet powder
coated aluminium cappings, this is the lid on the perfect growing environment, ensuring the longevity and safety of our products.
The lid is secured to the cedar panelled base by heavy-duty aluminium hinges. All the fixings used throughout are oven brass or
stainless steel, we accept no substitutes. The warmth of the finest quality western red cedar frame ensures the protection of your
plants. Cedar is the very best insulator, being straight grained it rarely warps or twists, it absorbs or releases moisture with
minimal shrinkage or expansion and its rich and variegated colouring itself projects warmth and substance. Warmer in winter,
cooler in summer western red cedar a craftsman’s wood is machined to a superb finish, a pleasure to both the eye and the touch.
Cedar is famed for its long life and its rot resistant qualities, used in the inclement climate of the Rockies for cladding and roof
shingles, we do however provide an aluminium barrier between the moist ground and the frame to further extend its life. |
